Haydn Symphony no 101 in D major Hob I:101 'Clock'
Schoenberg A Survivor from Warsaw op 46
Mahler Symphony no 1 in D major 'Titan'

RCM Artist in Residence Sir Thomas Allen joins the RCM Symphony Orchestra for a performance of Schoenberg’s A Survivor from Warsaw. Schoenberg's tribute to victims of the Holocaust tells the story of a former inhabitant of the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II.

The orchestra also presents Haydn's Symphony no 101 – one of the composer's 12 London symphonies – which takes the nickname 'Clock' from the distinct ticking rhythm in its second movement. Afterwards, Mahler's moving Symphony no 1 provides a thrilling end to the evening.
