European Horizons: RCM at the Austrian Cultural Forum

Nikolai Medtner suffered from relative obscurity in the twenty-five years after his death - he is now recognized as one of the most significant Russian composers for the piano. Frank Sauvignon also plays pieces by Bach and Ravel.

Bach's Cello Suites are some of the best-known works for a solo instrument. Naomi Tran performs the Fifth Suite, a movement from which was played by Yo-Yo Ma at the site of the World Trade Centre in 2002.
