Get, Set, Play!
Get, Set, Play takes place in community centres in our closest boroughs for families who are eligible for our free community programme. In 2016-17 we focused our work in North Kensington. The year-long programme begins with a creative learning project linking to My Great Orchestral Adventure, an interactive family concert at the Royal Albert Hall, complete with full symphony orchestra live on stage. The programme then explores music from composer Sally Greaves' Groove n' Play series, providing a fun, intergenerational opportunity to explore first-access instruments such as ukulele, guitar, violin, keyboard, percussion and singing. At the end of the year, children can apply for specially discounted music tuition or choir membership with the Tri-borough Music Hub, supported by the Patron's Fund.

Mini Sparks Music
Start your child’s musical journey here!
Join Mayo Yoshida and a team of friendly Royal College of Music musicians every Tuesday in your local community centre for a warm and welcoming music group.
The music sessions, which last for 45 minutes, are aimed at babies and toddlers age 0-3 and their parents/carers. We sing songs, explore musical instruments, hear beautiful music played live by inspiring RCM musicians and lots more.
Parents/carers and their children are welcome to stay afterwards for a cuppa, healthy snacks and a chat with the team.
“Mini Sparks helped my son become more confident and less shy”
“I found new ways to bond, listen and understand my child.”
